St. Clair Shores Real Estate Listings and Information

St. Clair Shores

Need somewhere to park your boat?

Residents of St. Clair Shores, one of Michigan’s premier waterfront communities, can dock their vessels right in their own backyards in one of five marinas around the community.

This small but lively town sits along the shores of Lake St. Clair and offers four seasons of beautiful sunrises and exciting waterfront activities.

St. Clair Shores’ Nautical Mile is a draw not only for residents, but people in neighboring towns as well.

Visitors travel here to dine at places like Fishbone’s, Andiamo’s, Tom’s Oyster Bar, Brownies on the Lake, Shores Inn and the Beach Grill. Many of these spots are especially busy in the summer when boaters pull in to dock here for a break.

Speaking of summertime, a concert series called “Music on the Lake,” happens every Wednesday beginning in July on the waterfront at Veteran’s Memorial Park, and brings popular local bands to the area.

Visitors and residents alike enjoy shopping at Kitty Deluxe, Soulliere Garden Center, Harper Sports Shop(a third generation, family-owned business since 1947!), The Pointe After and Connie’s Children’s Shop (56 years in business!).

There are three public school districts including Lake Shore, Lakeview and South Lake, as well three private schools. As for higher education, there are seven colleges and universities within a half hour commute.

The Harper Avenue Business Association encourages new and established businesses along the six-mile long commercial corridor, and supports the city’s Memorial Day parade, which is the largest in the Midwest.

The St. Clair Shores Country Club, which opened in 1975, is said to be the busiest 18-hole municipal course in the state. The community also has a municipal pool featuring waterslides and a splash pad, several softball and soccer fields, an ice area and multiple parks located both on and off the water.

There is a strong sense of community here, due in part to the many volunteers who share their time and talents to put on events like Halloween in the Park, the annual fireworks display, art festival, and the Nautical Mile Pond Hockey Tournament.

So park your boat and come ashore!
