Famous MLB Player's Homes

Baseball is back! Opening Day is often considered a holiday for Metro Detroiters, and if you're a die-hard fan we already know where to find you on April 7th. While you won't find us in attendance that day, you can find us fantasizing about the MLB players' homes. 

1. Miguel Cabrera - Detroit Tigers

Last year, we listed Miguel Cabrera's (former) Birmingham home.  Listed for just under $2 Million, one can expect nothing less than the best from the home of Cabrera. The 7 bed,  5.2 bathroom home includes a home theater, granite kitchen, paneled library and a wet bar in the lower level. 

2. Walter Briggs - Former owner of the Detroit Tigers

Stone Hedge, 9,638 square feet, is the mansion originally built in 1915 for Walter Briggs. The home sold in 2012 for just under $400,000. Inside the home you can find baseball memorabilia.
 

3. Damion Easley - Detroit Tigers

Former second baseman, put his baseball-themed Arizonian mansion for sale just a few years ago for 5.5 million. This house truly is a home run. With 15,000 square feet, you can find an indoor batting cafe, miniature outdoor ball diamond, a room with a Tiger Stadium mural and shower tiles to form baseball diamonds. 

4. Kenny Rogers - Rangers, Detroit Tigers, New York YankeesHot Property: Kenny Rogers
Retired baseball player listed his estate for nearly 15 million in 2014. Sitting on 24-acres, this home has a country French chateau, guest house, pool and outdoor entertainment pavilion. Inside you can find an elevator, gourmet kitchen, library 5-bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and nine, yes nine - fireplaces! 

5. Mark Teixeira - New York Yankees

8,000 square feet in Westlake Texas, is home to former Texas Rangers player. On the market for $4 million, this home is still owned by Teixeira. This villa overlooks a golf course and lake. 4-bedrooms, eight baths and separate guest house all lie on 1-acre of land.

6. Derek Jeter - New York Yankees


The home of New York Yankees legends home is 30,875 square feet. 7-bedroom, 9 bathroom estate has a 3 car garage and much, much more. This home is the biggest home in all of Hillsborough County, Florida. 

 

7. Alex Rodriguez - New York Yankees

A-Rod purchased this Hollywood Hills home from Meryl Streep for just under $5 million. At 3,700 square feet, this home is sure to impress. This lavish 4-bedroom, 4-bath home is filled with glass walls, stone and fireplaces!

8. Pat Burrell - San Francisco Giants

Pat the Bat lised his Arizonia home for $3.65 million, located just 22 miles away from the Giants spring training facilities. Talk about a short commute to work! 

9. John Smoltz - Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves former pitcher, listed his Georgia mansion for $7.2 million a few years back. Sitting on 19.7 acres in a gated community, this home has 10-bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, an au pair suite and a studio apartment!
