Being a Realtor means being a member of your Local, State and National Association of Realtors and abiding by the code of ethics. Since my first year in this business, I became active in our local association. Committee background
Why is this important? I believe that being a Real Estate professional means more than just selling homes. The Realtor associations are strong advocates for protecting private property rights for all citizens. We are the legislative "watch-dog" for all issues related to Real Estate and mortgage financing as well as most regulatory issues in this arena.
It has been my pleasure to be a mentor in the Pontiac and Royal Oak school district as part of the Reaching Higher organization. This worthy program helps students to maximize their leadership potential and learn valuable survival skills as they navigate through young adulthood. Some of the best days are the days spent with these high school students. To find out more information about Reaching Higher, visit http://www.reachinghigherinc.org/.
I also serve as a trustee for the Realtor Scholarship Fund where High school seniors have the opportunity to apply for college scholarships to Michigan schools, extensively interviewing the students who apply.
Teri is a first rate real estate agent/associate broker! She is dynamic, hardworking, strategic, and an exceptional organizer. She delivers on her plans and commitments on a timely basis. She always follows through on what she says she will do. The results of her efforts were outstanding! We highly recommend her.
Teri and her team were easily the best experience of buying a house for the first time. Professional, yet fun and friendly, always had their head in the game making sure paperwork, scheduling, looking at houses and communication were handled as quickly and efficiently as possible. I love how they would work with my schedule even if it was not during normal hours (would get texts and phone calls after 8p which is perf for me). And yes, they work on weekends too. I spoke with her and her team more than I did with my own lender and felt comfortable every single time. Not once did i ever doubt whether i had to the right person for the job.
Teri and her ability to provide insight on all the homes we looked at as well as expectations and potential for each home really made me think outside the box and reconstruct what I was looking at and looking for, for the better. I'm a better buyer and owner because of it. She always had valuable connections for home modifications. Having spoken with only two of the people she has referred me to I know she values quality and experience in every step of homeownership and prices herself on having a quality reputation. Few people actually acknowledge that who you refer is also a reflection of yourself for good or bad and I'm overjoyed to know she is one of them. Basically if she refers me to someone they're on the top of my contact list for the work they do.
I've already recommended her to four people and two were before we even put an offer on the home. I'll never use another realtor so long as she is in the business. Would suggest the same of you.
Teri is the utmost professional. She made an overwhelming process not only easy, but fun – and this is coming from a first time home buyer! When I say that Teri knows everyone in the business, I mean she knows everyone. The professional relationships she has built over the years made it so easy. She was able to put me in contact with reliable lenders and inspectors – people that I needed to trust during this process. I felt that I had the best team surrounding me throughout the entire process, all the way through closing, and it was all thanks to Teri, her work and the wonderful people she introduced me to along the way.
Quickly, Teri learned what I was looking for and was able to offer sound advice to help me through the process. \u201CNo\u201D isn’t in Teri’s vocabulary. I often wondered how she juggled it all. A house would pop up and we’d run to see it in the morning, at lunch, after work, on the weekend, sometimes with as little as 30 minutes notice. She made it happen. All of her clients are her priorities and she shines at what she does.
I’d highly recommend Teri to anyone buying or selling their home. You’ll receive Teri’s full attention, & negotiation prowess - and she won’t stop until the job is done and you’re happy!
